# Get the business SES transport settings

> The secret access key is never returned — secret_configured reports only whether one is stored.

<api-operation method="GET" path="/v1/businesses/{biz}/emails/ses">
<template v-slot:docs="">

The secret access key is never returned — `secret_configured` reports only whether one is stored. A business runs ONE transport: enabling SES switches SMTP off, which is why `effective_transport` is reported here rather than inferred from `enabled` alone.
