# Receipts

> A numbered record of money received: one per payment, or one per payment-request payment.

A numbered record of money received: one per payment, or one per payment-request payment. Numbers run in one series per business and are assigned within seconds of the payment. A receipt is not a tax invoice and never changes after it is created.
