# Analytics

The measures behind every board and chart, as one read. `GET /v1/analytics/measures` describes the whole space so nothing has to be hard-coded; `GET /v1/analytics` answers one measure over one window, optionally split by one dimension; `POST /v1/analytics/query` answers a board's worth in one round trip.

Every payload is self-describing, because a number without its unit is a bug waiting to happen: it states its unit and currency (money is integer MINOR units, never converted here), whether it is a value AT an instant or a sum OVER a window, when it was computed, and — where the history is only partly known — exactly which periods are missing. A cut that cannot be made answers 422 with a sentence naming what can.
